The Osman Consultants Story

Before opening Osman Consultants, Dan Osman worked for six years in the Human Relations Department (HRD) of the City of Kansas City, Missouri — now called the Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity (CREO) department. In his role, he focused on workforce and MBE, WBE, DBE, and SLBE development, forging connections between business owners and the developers who needed their services.

Today, Dan applies these economic development skills as an Affirmative Action Compliance Specialist for construction companies and developers, as well as an advisor to minority and women-owned businesses. To date, Dan has saved contractors and developers over $10 million in recommended liquidated damages, including over $600,000 in just this year alone.

Having previously set and enforced these goals, he understands the Affirmative Action requirements of government contracts and can ensure their full and timely compliance.

Dan also represents District 48 in the Kansas Legislature. Now in his second term, he serves on the House judiciary and commerce committees. Before that, he served two terms for the Hickman Mills school board. He’s an attorney licensed to practice in Missouri.
